Campus
AUBG is the first institution in Bulgaria offering American-type accommodation to its students. Each of the dormitories has its own spirit and community, and provides a unique experience for young people. One of the requirements for students studying in AUBG's undergraduate programs is to live on campus, which is also part of the university's mission. The dormitories provide a smoke-free environment, are handicap accessible, and are funded by USAID/ASHA. They have dedicated areas for different activities which include: aerobics room, gym, music room, film and presentation room, pool and table tennis room, reception, kitchen and cafeteria.
Students in AUBG's undergraduate programs live and study at the "Skaptopara" campus in Blagoevgrad. There are 3 new modern dormitories; academic center "Balkanski", which includes classrooms, computer rooms and offices; Panitsa Library, which is the largest English-language library in South-Eastern Europe; and "America for Bulgaria" student center.
Blagoevgrad is a small, vibrant university town within an hour’s reach of the capital Sofia. Here you’ll be spoiled with kilometers of leafy park alleys, a cinema, theater, nightclubs, and tons of restaurants and cafés. And Bulgaria’s most stunning natural attractions are within an hour’s drive!
