Medical University - Pleven (Bulgarian: Медицински университет — Плевен, Meditsinski universitet — Pleven) is one of Bulgaria's medical universities and the only university in Pleven. It was founded in 1974, building upon the regional hospital established in 1865.
The university integrates a modern preclinical base, a hospital with specialized clinics, and research facilities. It offers programs through three faculties and a medical college:

The university also provides accommodation with two hostels, offering a total of 315 beds in two- and three-bed rooms.
In 1997, Medical University - Pleven became the first in Bulgaria to introduce an English-language medicine program for international students. Currently, the university admits approximately 750 new students annually, with about one-third being international students. Foreign students come from over 45 countries, including a significant number from India and other EU member states, particularly since Bulgaria's accession to the European Union in 2007.
With a strong focus on research, education, and healthcare, Medical University - Pleven remains a prominent institution for medical studies in Bulgaria.
