Accreditation
A prerequisite for the legitimacy of any higher school of education in the country is the existence of an official acknowledgment, accredited by a specialized government body. It guarantees monitoring and quality control of educational, research and development and artistic activities, participation of academic staff and trainees in such activities, maintenance, management and development of resources, etc., during the entire period of accreditation. Therefore it is very important for us to yield better and better results in our work.
Our university is one of the first to pass a pilot accreditation during the first stage of the project “Preliminary study for accreditation of higher schools in Bulgaria” (November 1996 – May 1997).
The present institutional accreditation dated July 26th, 2018 for the next six years is with a grade 9.56. This is the highest grade until now acquired by a higher school in Bulgaria.
As a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (since 2008) the accreditations given by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency are acknowledged as valid in the whole European Union.
