Trakia University - Stara Zagora has a well-established experience in working on European projects. The educational process at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is carried out in accordance with Directives 2005/36 / EC and 2013/55 / EC of the European Parliament and the Ordinance (adopted by Council of Ministers № 17 of the Council of Ministers of 28.01.2016) on uniform state requirements for higher education. educational qualification degree "Master" in the specialty "Veterinary Medicine".
The training in the specialty "Medicine" is carried out for 6 years - 10 semesters and ten months of state experience, during which state exams are taken. The curriculum includes compulsory, optional and elective courses, as well as compulsory internships for 2nd to 6th year students. During the internship the necessary practical skills of the future doctors are formed.
Student dormitories are available at both the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, with monthly rent typically around 50 EUR. However, space is limited, and you will most likely need to share a room. It's worth noting that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is situated outside of Stara Zagora, approximately 20 minutes away by bus. For convenience, students often choose to stay at the on-campus dormitory there. In contrast, the Medical Faculty is located within the city, making it easier for students to opt for private or shared apartments in Stara Zagora. In such cases, rent generally ranges between 200 and 300 EUR, depending on factors like apartment size and the number of occupants.
Stara Zagora is the fifth-largest city in Bulgaria, with a population of around 150,000 as of 2015. While the majority of residents are Bulgarian, the city is becoming increasingly international due to the affordable cost of living and the diverse study programs offered by Trakia University.
